37.02.000.083.15.003.2013 in view of letter No. 7 of the Project Office of the Ministry of Education of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. 14, dated 17/11/2013 under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education “Establishment of seven secondary schools in Sylhet, Barisal and Khulna cities”The school name 'Dakshin Surma Govt High School' was approved under the scheme. Saima Yunus, Under-Secretary (Development-III) issued the permission with the approval of the appropriate authority.

Built on 1 acre of land, this school has a 6-storey building with double lift facilities. The infrastructure of this school is very modern and strong. There are four state-of-the-art labs for science education and a state-of-the-art ICT lab for computer education. Equipped with 32 computers and an interactive (smart) board.
